TBTP: Jewel and Airi

Jewel and Airi first met in the Shino Academy. They were roomies and were quick to discover they were really different from each other. Despite these differences, they found common ground on being rude to other people and leaned on that.

Airi was judgmental of others and Jewel was just a shit. Airi constantly nitpicked at Jewel for her bad manners, unkempt appearance, and "dead" face. Jewel found Airi's obsession with fashion and appearance annoying. With enough nagging Airi got Jewel to use mascara to give her face some more color. Initially, Jewel only wore it so Airi'd shut-up about it but she grew to like the look and kept it. C:

Airi was intelligent, Jewel was average at best. Airi was the pretty one, Jewel was the brash one. Airi was more reserved in behavior, Jewel was aggressive and rebellious - a petty prankster that always pulled Airi into her messes. Airi'd be lyin' if she didn't have a good time watching her roomie fuck with people but it was always a pain in the ass when they got in trouble.

Airi excelled in Hoho and Zanjutsu and did okay with Kido and Hakuda. Jewel excelled in Zanjutsu and Hakuda, did okay with Hoho, and poorly with Kido - so bad that she frequently injured herself and others in attempting it. They trained together when possible and were well-matched in skill even though Airi was the one with higher marks in all her classes - Jewel could keep up with her. Jewel fell short during tests though, as she never studied, and if Airi happened to share the class with her she always tried to cheat off of her.

They chose different paths when it came to applying for their divisions. Airi felt suited for the 2nd Division while Jewel was drawn towards the 11th Division. They both got into their divisions of choice and while they weren't seeing one another every day they made a point to keep in contact and update each other on their lives every now and then.
